The 2022 and 2023 Grand Cherokees are among the more than a million vehicles recalled.

Chrysler

Chrysler recalled more than a million vehicles over backup cameras that don’t work.

Recalled vehicles include certain 2021 and 2022 Dodge Durangos; 2021 to 2023 Chrysler Pacificas and Jeep Grand Cherokee Ls; 2022 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500s; and 2022 and 2023 Jeep Compasses, Grand Cherokees, Wagoneers, Grand Wagoneers and Ram Promasters. The potential number affected is 1.033 million.

The vehicles have a radio software issue that may interfere with the rearview camera display, according to a notice on the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration website. They therefore don’t comply with federal safety standards on rear visibility.

Auto dealers will update the radio software. Chrysler is scheduled to mail recall notices to owners on Aug. 2.
